Dinobot Designation Eclipse Concept

"Grimlock may be Alpha-King... but Eclipse be best hunter... best killer."

Eclipse wasn't originally part of the Lightning Strike Coalition, but she had had several run-ins with Grimlock and his crew.

Personality: Eclipse is easily angered and very quick to judge, she prefers biting into an enemies neck and severing their supply of energon to their motherboard THEN asks questions as her foe slowly bleeds out. She is known to be on the far darker side of good than act completely like an Autobot. She follows orders given only by those who are her 'betters' in combat and is known to have severe psycological damage due to the trauma of reformatting. Since her reformatting, she has taken the heirarchy of authority based on a 'pack and pack leader' format very seriously. Since she was esentially adopted into the dinobots she has expressed an unnatural loyalty to her 'Alpha' a.k.a. Grimlock and prefers the company of Swoop, despite his far more lax temperment. She is also known to get into altercations with Slug... very... very often.

History:
Before the War for Cybertron, Eclipse escaped a life in Energon purification and fled to Kaon, where she reveled in combatting opponets in the gladitorial pits. She relied solely on her stealthy capabilities, which she had learned from her centuries of sneaking around Cybertron. She first lost to another gladiator by the name of Megatronus and later to Grimlock among others, she also began sneaking around the pits, and was suspected of executing several of her rising opponets.

In the war, Eclipse was a larger, head-strong, and easily-angered scout. In light of her darker past, she was often asked why she chose the Autobots rather than the Decepticons, ironically, it was solely because she hated Megatronus more than Orion Pax. In the late days of the War for Cybertron Eclipse was scouting in the Sea of Rust, having intercepted Decepticon communication from the Chief Decepticon Scientist, Shockwave, however, she was quickly over-run by the newly discovered Insecticons. She managed to send out a distress call, only heard by the Lightning Strike Coalition, little did Eclipse realize, she incidintally set up the Lightning Strike Coalition for capture.

Once Shockwave had completely reformatted Eclipse after one of the New Planet's most stealthy and volatile creatures, he then proceeded to reroute a substantial portion of her cognitive functions to combat processing modules, irritation mods and stealth adaptations. The scientist engineered her to be a most lethal predator, just as Grimlock possessed brute strength and force, so did Eclipse gain unspeakable stealth and predatory skills. However, unlike Grimlock, her coding dictates that she spends the majority of her time in her Dinobot form, as she finds it most difficult to maintain her robot form.

Skills:
Shockwave should have left of with her physical reformatting. It is said that from Eclipse he created Cybertron's most lethal hunter, possessing the skills and aptitude of Cybertron's most deadly Predacons. Eclipse also has a speed enhancing thruster above each leg, enabling her to not only run at an incredible velocity and boost her average jumping height. Her largest talons possess unique noise-cancelling adaptations, enabling her to move in complete silence; this, in addition to a paralizing cybertoxin injector. Shockwave also instilled much of the original creature's aromatic sensors, agility, behavioral functions and habits into Eclipse during the final programming. All of this, in addition to her oral flame-thrower. 

Weaknesses:
Her easy-to-anger nature is her greatest downfall, although lesser enemies are dead before they can anger her. The more furious she becomes, the more mistakes she tends to make in combat. In addition, her uncanny loyalty to Grimlock gives her an additional weakness, as she cannot think straight when her Alpha is in jeopardy. Thoughts of her past also leave her vulnerable, because despite her hot-cold nature... she still holds guilt over herself for causing the Lightning Strike Coalition to be captured. She especially hates Shockwave, Soundwave and above all Megatronus among many other things. She finds it exceedingly difficult to maintain a robot form for an unknown reason and is known to loose her sentience in times of great stress, leaving those around her to deal with a lethal predator bent on killing them.
